Is there an easy to way upgrade WordPress in cPanel?

Upgrading WordPress and various other scripts if you have installed them through cPanel is as simple as clicking the upgrade button when the new version is posted.

You can upgrade from within the Fantastico section just like you did the install. It will tell you the version of the program that you are currently running on the site, and then it will have the latest version beside it so you can see if it's out of date. The system will also notify you if you are running a program that is out of date when we get a new version in our system.

You will want to be sure to make a backup of the site prior to running any of the upgrades (just click the upgrade button and it does the rest). The reason for the backup is that your templates can get wiped out since it is using BASE information on the upgrade, and often upgrades include template edits from the software makers. So yes you can do the upgrade automatically, but be sure to make a backup before doing so just to be safe!
